elements in large stoned structure

CONTENT:
65 building stone elements

Suitable for building

  • castles
  • castle ruins
  • walls
  • other buildings

SIZE:
Length/Width/Height 29x14x14 mmm

Since there were no any standard sizes for stones used for real castles, these elements are suitable for several scales. First of all, it is depending on how you would combine the single elements. What could be may be an entry for a smaller scale could be a window for even a larger scale. But these elements are most suitable for model figures on scale 1 : 72 (which means 28 mm figures) and ideal for model figures on scale 1 : 45 (which means 40 mm figures)

Within each element, a couple of smaller stones are engraved, giving a very authentic covering. Especially on close-up photo shots you could recognize the absolutely realistic stone structure at the covering of these elements

THE PECULIARITY:
All elements have partly varying different stone structures. When joining them also vertically and horizontally in a ,,mirror-like" system, you’ll get a variety of several, different stone structures.

THE MATERIAL:
Very special plasticized mixture (high quality, synthetically treated ceramic-like plaster)

JOINING:
The very best material for joining the elements is wood-glue. Don’t apply the glue too weak. You should moisten the areas to be joined before by simply using water. Special adhesive mortar for wall tiling instead of wood glue would also well work

PAINTING:
When buying the elements as for unpainted raw elements, we recommend painting them with a type of not viscous, easy flowing water-color. But some other colors such as acryl are also working. But it is important and crucial diluting such colors before applying. Depending on the color variant you’re requiring, you should mix black with a bit of brown. Even adding a small quantity of yellow would create a slight green affect, imaging a mossy covering here and there. Especially when building a ruin, doing so would be recommendable. Coming to windows, doors and similar pieces, applying a little bit brown later then as for a second step would create the imagine the traces of down-running rain water occurring over the years at such old buildings. You should also insert some little real looking moss-dummies into the joints here and there; this gives a very outstanding, natural looking influence.

Have a lot of fun when building!
